Currently we are in advanced talks with several corporates and donors and many other public and private sector players. We have also approached various County Governments such as Homa Bay, Kakamega, Nyamira, Kisii, Bomet, Kisumu and Busia. We are holding talks with the others and they are ready and willing to partner with the Afya Elimu Fund to boost capacity in the health sector in their Counties.

The funds from the County Governments will be advanced to students from the Counties targeting cadres with critical shortages in the Counties. Some Counties have proposed to utilize the funds in upscaling certain specialties e.g. oncologists, cardiologists etc. in their Counties. The Afya Elimu Fund will therefore go a long way in addressing the health capacity issues in the Counties.
