Frequently Asked Questions

You can easily Download your personal statement from the HELB portal OR the HELB Mobile Application. 

You can repay you loan through the following ways:

  1.  Check off system done by your employer monthly. NOTE that to initiate monthly check off, you are required to inform your employer.  
  2. Individual payment through Bank deposits (Credit or Debit card), Cheque deposits to HELB Accounts OR Mpesa Payments.

You will be penalized. For each month that remains unpaid you pay a fine of not less than five thousand shillings.
For maintenance of the account.

A compliance certificate can be downloaded on the HELB Portal as long as you have been consistently complying to loan repayment. In the case that you experience any challenges, send an email requesting for your certificate to contactcentre@helb.co.ke or call our contact centre on 0711052000. 

 You are required to contact HELB for a billing schedule. 

A penalty of 5% per month is charged on the employer for every deduction that remains unpaid.

Loan repayment is your responsibility. Please keep track of your repayment by frequently checking your statements until completion of loan. 

You will be issued with a certificate of clearance.

Upon loan completion, you are required to place a request through the HELB portal and it will be sent to you upon approval OR visit the nearest Huduma centre or HELB main office at anniversary towers ground floor to process and receive your Certificate.

You are required to Submit a correctly filled loan
inquiry form and confirmation of loan
deduction stoppage by your employer through the HELB portal. 

60 Days from the day of initiation of Refund request.
