Requirements:

  1. Admission letter from a recognized university/College in Kenya
  2. Certified copy of your last acquired academic certificate (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  3. Three (3) months latest pay slips (certified by your employer)
  4. If you are employed on contract, please provide copy of appointment letter of not less than two years (certified by your employer)
  5. Certified copy of your National ID (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  6. Certified copy of your KRA PIN (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  7. Certified copy of National ID from two employed guarantors (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  8. Recent colored passport size photograph of yourself

Note: Previous HELB loan (if any) should be in repayment or cleared.

KRA Staff Student Loans

Upgrade your knowledge and skills as you work with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). Get up to Kshs.500,000 at an annual interest of 4% p.a. to pursue professional training while on job.

Who is eligible?

Employees of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

Repayment:

Repayment is due 1 month after disbursement through monthly check-off system from payroll for a maximum period of 48 months (4 years).

Applicable interest is 4% per year and an annual ledger fee of Kshs.1,000

Requirements:

  1. Admission letter from a recognized university or training institution in Kenya
  2. Recommendation letter from your employer (KRA HR office)
  3. A copy of 3 months latest pay slips with a net pay above 1/3 of basic pay (certified by your employer)
  4. Certified copy of your national ID (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  5. Certified copy of your KRA PIN (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  6. Certified copy of national ID from two guarantors employed within KRA (certified by a commissioner of oaths)
  7. Recent colored passport size photograph of yourself

Civil  Servants Student Loans

Are you employed in civil service? Do you wish to pursue higher education or professional training in Kenya? The Ministry of Public service and Higher Education Loans Board now bring you student loan of up to Kshs.500,000 at interest of 4% per year with prolonged repayment period of 72 months (6 years) through check-off.

  • Examinable short courses of at least three (3) months
  • Postgraduate studies (Masters and PhD)

Who is eligible?

Employees in:

  • Government of Kenya Ministries
  • Parliamentary Service commission
  • Judicial Service Commission
  • National Police Service
  • Kenya Prisons Service
  • County governments
